Week 4 - Juneteenth - UX Observation Post

Hello All. In honor of Juneteenth becoming a national holiday and the actual date, I have decided to use it as my search term for this week. Let's see what kind of websites we get. To rate them, I will be using the following key: 0 – This is not a usability problem 1 – Cosmetic problem 2 – minor usability problem 3 – major usability problem 4 – usability catastrophe; imperative to fix 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juneteenth (Rating 1) - Wikipedia is a popular user-contributed data website that allows users to search a vast variety of topics to get general information about the topic. To really understand the website, I navigated away from the Juneteenth post and just looked at the main landing page. For this site to be user contribution-friendly, I really kind of enjoy it. My favorite thing, no distracting advertisements. Everything is uniform. Even though the website gives off a higher quality Craigslist vibe, it is useable and really just needs a cosmetic face-lift. 2. https

Did you know that today is National Ice Cream Cake Day?! No, well, you aren't alone. I had no idea that this was a thing. In honor of this delicious observation, I used the search term "Ice Cream Cake" to review a few websites for this week's user experience posting. Its aim looks to provide assistance for those who enjoy baking or things that are sweet. I actually like this website. For a food blog (which usually contains a lot of ads), this doesn't have too many obnoxious popups, it's somewhat simplistic and provides options for the audience to learn on various levels. Week 6 - COVID 19 - UX Observation

On May 4, 2021, President Biden set the goal to have 70% of the US population vaccinated by 7/4/21. While that goal was not successful, I used the term "Covid-19" to fuel my search for this week. It's a great term to search because there are so many websites and posts about the topic as it has consumed our lives for the last year and a half. It has a wealth of information about various illnesses and it is also a great resource for non-COVID information.
